With a strong finance background, Sinead joined the business in 2023 as Finance Director, having held senior finance positions at leading UK retailers and brands, Morrisons and Mamas and Papas. After a successful first 12 months, she gained responsibility for driving forward the commercial performance of the business leading the team to help our partners reduce waste, supporting retail operations and drive a compelling offer for our members.
Gary has spent over 30 years in the social impact field. He began his career helping to tackle homelessness becoming the Chief Executive of a regional homelessness charity. Since then he has worked with government programmes to improve homelessness outcomes for many people and founded social enterprises supporting some of the UK’s most marginalised communities. He also founded an advisory business, supporting public sector bodies, businesses and high net worth individuals on their social impact activity and analysis. Gary joined CSG 11 years ago to bring this experience to the field of food surplus and food insecurity, and through his extensive research and experience, Community Shop was born. He is on the trustee board of a number of charities and chairs regional food insecurity boards as well as advising organisations around the world on the social supermarket model.
As Retail and Operations Director, Andy leads our highly responsive and fast-paced team to take products that would otherwise be wasted, making them safe and legal before redistributing them to our members. Bringing extensive retail experience, Andy joined CSG in 2021 from Morrisons where he led teams in senior supply chain and logistics roles and prior to that, spending 15 years between Asda and Sainsbury’s in both operational and strategic roles , across the UK and internationally. His breadth of experience is demonstrated through his leadership of our teams in transport, warehousing, product intervention, retail stores, food safety, health & safety and property management.
Having spent the last 15 years within FMCG, both in the UK and US, Adam joined as Marketing Director in 2023. Prior to Company Shop Group, he spent 10 years in the UK’s largest food manufacturers, Samworth Brothers, as well as having extensive experience in brands and own-label products. Adam brings valuable insight in how we can work with the industry to access harder to reach surplus and how we can bring that to life for our members in store. In 2024, he took on a new responsibility in leading our partnerships team who nuture new business relationships and support them in helping to reduce waste.
With extensive experience in HR, Steph joined Company Shop Group as HR Director in 2017. She guided the business and people agenda through significant growth before it was sold to Biffa in 2021, at which point she led CSG temporarily as Group Managing Director. Using her vast knowledge of the business, she has since held commercial and strategic roles, and her current position as Strategic Development Director aims to drive forward the business’ future growth, exploring new and innovative solutions for helping our partners reduce waste.
Lee brings over 40 years of experience within the food industry, first working for his family frozen food business, where he worked his way up from the shop floor to buying director. Following the sale of the business he undertook a number of consultancy roles within food manufacturing, followed by five years with Grampian Country Food Group. In 2002 Lee joined Company Shop Group, now the UK’s leading redistributor of surplus stock. As Trading Director, he supports the UK’s leading food retailers and manufacturers to find sustainable routes to redistribute their surplus stock.
