Company Shop Group wins Community Impact Award

Company Shop Group, the UK’s leading and longest-standing redistributor and retailer of surplus products has scooped the Community Impact award at the Yorkshire Business of the Year Awards.

The awards celebrate the very best business successes from across Yorkshire and shine a spotlight on those that are innovating, disrupting and thriving.

The Group's vision is to create a world where no surplus products go to waste; where redistribution is an integral solution to reducing the environmental impact of food loss and waste, and where communities have access to affordable, healthy food and a food secure future.

Through its social enterprise, Community Shop, it tackles the root causes of food insecurity across the UK, with a unique model that provides members with a hand up, not a hand-out.
